Sakana AI

On the board as live since 2026-09-11 — the watchers keep tracking it: lineup changes, pricing moves and deprecations all alert.

Launch detailsLive — an orchestration tier, not a base model: a router LM over a swappable pool of other models; our sweep read fugu-max at $2/$6 and fugu-ultra-v2 at $5/$30 per 1M, both served at 1M ctx, on Sep 11; the Sep 11 launch date and the benchmark wins over Opus 5 and Fable 5 are Sakana's and the trade press's, not our own reading.
