Iceman, the free stealth model on OpenCode Go, has run 3.37 trillion tokens since October 23 across the two ids OpenCode's usage board tracks it under, and as of 18:31 UTC on November 4 no AI lab has claimed it.

THE +768% IS NOT GROWTH

OpenCode's weekly board puts iceman-contributor at #12 with 670 billion tokens, up 768% on the week before, and the plain iceman id at #16 with 567 billion, down 72%. Read together, they are one model's traffic moving from one id to the other. Both ids combined ran 1.24 trillion tokens in the past seven days, down about 42% from 2.13 trillion the week before. Use peaked on October 28 at 653 billion tokens in a day and ran between 162 and 251 billion a day from October 29 to November 3.

WHAT OPENCODE ITSELF SAYS

OpenCode added it to its $10-a-month Go plan on October 24 (pull request 58792 in its repository, merged at 20:24 UTC) as Iceman Contributor Free: free for a limited time, with no request limit. The same change marks prompts to it as used for training and its retention as not zero-data-retention, and it adds the id to OpenCode's list of stealth models, which is why its usage pages show the lab as Unknown. The models.dev catalog lists a 262,144-token context window, up to 131,072 output tokens, reasoning and tool calls, text in and text out.

WHO MADE IT

Nobody has said. The tracker site stealthmodels.com reports that the X account @aitrackerbot found Iceman introducing itself as Microsoft's MAI and counting prompt tokens exactly like MAI Thinking 1. Its own test matched MAI Thinking 1 and, just as exactly, OpenAI's GPT-6 models, so a token count cannot tell those apart. That is a lead, not a confirmation, and Microsoft has said nothing. The word Contributor names OpenCode's deal (free access in exchange for training data), not a lab: Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 and 1.2 Contributor carry it too.

THE PRECEDENT

Earlier stealth models on OpenCode were claimed by their makers at launch: ox-alpha by Z.ai as GLM-5.3 Flash, cat-jam by Reflection AI as Beam, and Space Bunny by MiniMax as M3.1 Flash, 26 days after it first appeared. Iceman has been up for 11 days. We will add it to our registry the day a lab claims it.

WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW

Who makes it, how large it is, and how long the free run lasts.
