Moonshot apologizes for Kimi K3.1 Pro plan rate limits and gives back a quarter of every subscriber's quota

Moonshot says the rate limits and quota burn on its Kimi K3.1 Pro subscription plan were its own fault. In a post on its official Kimi account on X at 20:14 UTC on October 25, two days after K3.1 Pro launched, the company apologized for "the rate limits and unnecessary quota consumption" and said it should have fixed them sooner.
WHAT MOONSHOT IS CHANGING
Every subscriber on every plan gets a one-time usage reset that restores 25% of their monthly quota, which Moonshot puts at about one week of use; anyone who has used less than 25% resets to zero. Moonshot says usage bars will show the change by the end of the day, Pacific time. It also says it has adjusted the plan's parameters and is cutting unnecessary subagent calls and output length, so quota lasts longer.
WHAT IS SOURCED
Everything above is Moonshot's own statement, read on its verified Kimi account.
WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW
What the new plan parameters are. The post covers the subscription plan only and says nothing about API pricing, which stands at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output for kimi-k3.1-pro.
