Cursor now builds and hosts live apps from a cloud agent, with a database, sign-in and a shareable link

Cursor launched Build Live Apps on November 5. You tell a cloud agent you want an app, and Cursor builds it, sets up a database and sign-in, deploys it and gives you a link. It is available on all paid plans with cloud agents enabled.

HOW IT WORKS

• The agent scaffolds a web app, spins up a Postgres database if one is needed, puts authentication behind Cursor sign-in and provisions hosting.
• When you publish, you choose a unique domain and get a live link. If the app needs your own systems, such as a data warehouse, Cursor asks for the secrets it needs.
• It deploys from new or existing repos on Cursor Origin and GitHub. GitLab support is coming, Cursor says.

SAFETY CHECKS

Before anything goes live, Cursor runs deterministic and agent-driven security checks for problems such as secrets left in app files. Nothing publishes until those pass and you confirm. Team admins can see every app and secret, add their own review rules and unpublish any app.

WHO CAN SEE THE APP

Specific people, groups or your whole team, all behind Cursor sign-in. On individual plans, apps can also be shared publicly.

WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW

What hosting costs or its limits are, and which cloud and regions the apps and databases run in. Cursor's changelog does not say. The feature works only with cloud agents, not local ones.
