Gemini 4 leak says mid-to-late October, from one account and with no second source

One X account, @lyraxana, posted a recap on September 27 of what it says is planned for Gemini 4: a release "planned for mid-to-late October", new effort levels xhigh and max, a 1M-token context window with 262,144 (256K) maximum output tokens, and stronger safeguards "already being prepped" in Google's antigravity-cli. The post says all of it is "still subject to change".

WHAT IS SOURCED

DeepMind's Koray Kavukcuoglu said on September 24 that Gemini 4 is in post-training and will ship "as soon as possible", with no date. Nothing in the recap contradicts that. None of it is confirmed by Google either, and no second account or outlet carries the October window.

THE 3.5 PRO CLAIM

The same account says Google cancelled Gemini 3.5 Pro, codenamed gemdelta, at the last second when it was ready for its final release. We cannot confirm that. What we can read ourselves: no Gemini 3.5 Pro id is in any catalog we sweep, only 3.5 Flash and Flash-Lite, and the model has now missed every leaked date since June.

Gemini 4 is armed on our radar. The alert fires when it answers on a public API, not when a leak names a month.
